Our class by Zywia

In Ballinlough N.S we had a great start to our year. We had a Funky shoe day today and some people wore slippers, wellies, odd shoes and many others. In my classroom, 3rd & 4th we made farming projects with typing, handwriting and other stuff. We also learned about Andy Warhol and made pop art with normal things, I did Addidas shoes. We made recounts last month and have hurling for P.E and have music lessons with tin whistles.

This school is really  good, I really like it!

My time in 4th class by Cian B

We came back to school in September. The first day was the best day, we got to play outside for a little longer than normal. We made animals out of clay with Betty, it was fun.

Our school is a fun place to make friends and have education. We have a fair class and we have class rules. Our rules are Respect Education and saftey. I can't wait for the rest of the year.

Our Term so far

What a start to the new school year we have had in 3rd & 4th class. We have been modelling clay with a famous sculptor, researching farming long ago and now, publishing our very own recounts, painting, playing hurling...the list goes on.

Everyone has settled into our new class really well and are looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings.

Bridges

A huge well done to the pupils in 5th & 6th class in their recent "Bridges" project. They were set the task to research the various designs, structures and purpose of bridges of all sizes. They then could chose their favourite and recreate it using wood, metals, string, cord and any other materials of their choice. The finished results were outstanding and many way beyond expectations. Pupils who will remain nameless ( but you know who you are ) refused the help of adults at home and took great pride in their individual efforts. It was a great theme and although the task was challenging, once again our pupils showed what great talents and enthusiasm they have when given a project. Well done you should be proud.
